PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) together with its two contractors PT Pama Persada (PAMA) and Thiess Contractor Indonesia (TCI), showed their concern by donating medical devices for Kudungga Hospital. This social action is part of a series to welcome the 22nd Anniversary of Kutai Timur, which was on October 12th, 2021.

The handover ceremony was held modestly on the terrace of Kudungga Hospital, Friday (8/10/2021), attended by the Regent of Kutai Timur Drs H Ardiansyah Sulaiman M.Si, General Manager External Affairs and Sustainable Development (ESD) Wawan Setiawan and Director of Kudungga Hospital dr Anik Istiyandari.

On this occasion, KPC donated five types of medical equipment worth IDR 1.596 billion. Meanwhile, Thiess donated medical equipment worth IDR 418 million, in the form of one unit of Mobil X-Ray System For Medical POX-100BT. Meanwhile, PAMA contributed six types of medical equipment worth IDR 283.9 million.

Kutai Timur Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman in his remarks said, Medical Devices is currently a benchmark for health services in hospitals. Meanwhile the local government has a limited budget.

“On the other hand, the Central Government’s instructions ask the regions to always be ready and continue to improve services. Regions are required to move quickly to prepare health services. The solution is that I ask for company support,” said Ardiansyah.

For the assistance and support of KPC and contractors, the Regent expressed his appreciation and gratitude. “I thank KPC, Pama and Thiess for providing assistance to the hospital. To the hospital, please take care of this and take good care of it,” said Ardiansyah.

GM ESD KPC Wawan Setiawan said that the contribution of the medical devices was a form of KPC’s real support for the smooth operation of the hospital. “This is a form of our commitment with contractors to improve health services at this hospital,” said Wawan.

Wawan hopes that the support of KPC and contractors can reduce the rate of increase in Covid-19 cases in Kutai Timur. In addition to providing medical equipment to hospitals, still in the context of the 22nd anniversary of Kutai Timur, KPC will also inaugurate the construction of the Local Chicken Breeding Farm, which is located in PESAT, Kabo Jaya, Sangatta.
