Of the 12 nominated programs, KPC successfully won nine Platinum, two Gold, and the First Best for category of the individual company partner.  Platinum is the highest award, followed by gold and silver.

The award was received by General Manager of Strategic Business Development (SBD) Rahmad Desmi, from the Chairman of the ICA Jury, Dra Sarwat Fardaniyah.

The nine Platinum titles achieved by KPC include the employee fitness program (Wellness Program), the use of organic waste into compost in office areas and the protection of biodiversity (Kehati).

GM External Affairs and Sustainable Development (ESD) Wawan Setiawan said, KPC’s participation in ICA is as an evaluation for the company’s CSR programs.  According to Wawan, evaluation is important to measure whether the CSR program is in accordance with the applicable guidelines and norms, and whether the impact is significant enough on society.

“Our goal in ICA is having an independent assessment of our CSR programs. We want an evaluation and that evaluation is for the improvement of the ongoing program,” said Wawan.

ICA is a prestigious Community Development Award organized by CFCD (Corporate Forum for Community Development) together with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK) and supported by the National Standardization Agency.

At this event, KPC experienced an increase in Platinum acquisition.  In 2014, KPC won three platinum, six Platinum in 2017 and this year KPC won nine platinum.  (*)
