We urge Muslims to obey paying zakat because this is also an opportunity to share for less fortunate people,” said Ardiansyah.
Acting GM ESD KPC Nanang Supriyadi said that distributing basic food packages during Ramadan is a routine activity for KPC every year. This is a form of company concern for people in need. Moreover, every month of Ramadan there is a spike in the prices of basic necessities on the market.
“The distribution of basic necessities is a form of KPC’s concern for the community. Moreover, every Ramadan there is always a spike in prices of basic commodities. “Hopefully this can ease the burden on the basic food recipients,” said Nanang.
The Kutim Berzakat event was facilitated by Baznas Kutim. Chairman of the Kutim Baznas, Drs KH Masnip Sofwan, said that during this Ramadan period he had received zakat from the community amounting to more than IDR 1 billion.
These funds were distributed in the form of aid packages to 4,480 beneficiaries. One of them is for victims of the fire that just occurred in Kajang Village, South Sangatta, last Tuesday.(*)
