Immersive Simulator Brings KPC International Recognition

PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) has achieved international recognition by winning the Global Business Improvement Award in the safety category for its mining operational performance in 2024. This award was presented at the Immersive Technologies 16th Annual Business Improvement Award 2024 and officially handed over in 2025.
The accolade was conferred by Immersive Technologies, a leader in advanced heavy equipment simulator solutions. Muhammad Raizal, General Manager of the Mining Operation Division (MOD), received the award from Bayu Murtiyoso, Regional Vice President Asia of Immersive Technologies, on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Ocean58 Restaurant, Sangatta.
KPC was honored alongside four other leading global mining companies: Anglo American (South Africa) in Reliability, Kinross from Bald Mountain (United States) in Productivity, CSN (Brazil) in Training Effectiveness, and Mineral Resources (Australia) in Community Development.
Raizal expressed pride and appreciation for the recognition, stating, “Thank you to Immersive for this award. We are proud to stand alongside four other world-class mining companies.” He elaborated that KPC has gained significant benefits from operating Immersive simulators, enhancing operator competency and contributing to improved safety performance.
David Anderson, CEO of Immersive Technologies, affirmed KPC’s deserving of the Safety award, highlighting the long-standing partnership between Immersive and KPC. “Our relationship with KPC goes back many years.
