Company Overview
We are a coal mining company located in Sangatta, East Kalimantan, Indonesia, operating one of the largest open-pit mines in the world. We serve industrial customers, both export and domestic markets. Our company is operated from our head office in Sangatta, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province and has representative offices in Jakarta, Samarinda, and Balikpapan. We manage a mining concession area of 61,543 hectares. Our operations are supported by 30,575 employees. A total of 3,909 people are direct employees of KPC and 26,666 people work in 129 contractor companies. Our company is permitted to mine up to 70 million tons per year, with a target market of 25 percent in Indonesia and 75 percent abroad, especially 10 countries in the Asia Pacific region.
